Avant Gardeners garden club will present a hands-on workshop for FWGC members. The workshop will be conducted by Karen Murrell, Master Flower Show Judge from Dallas. Participants will learn advanced technics of leaf manipulation to enhance their floral designs.
Leaf Manipulation in Floral Design is an art in itself. Using different techniques, leaves and stems are carefully cut, looped, wired, and twisted into different shapes to form very unique floral designs. Participants will learn how to change the form and appearance of leaves in their natural state and how to use these shapes in a design.
Bring floral scissors and a medium-sized container. If you want, bring extra foliage from your own garden and/or house plants to share, and we will complete the all-foliage designs to take home.
