The FWBG Rose Garden
The FWBG Rose Garden

This historic and romantic Rose Garden, designed by Hare and Hare Architects, was built with 4,000 tons of Palo Pinto sandstone and dedicated in 1933. Its features include the Rose Colonnade, Oval Rose Garden and Gazebo, Rose Ramp and Cascade, and the Shelter Overlook.

Led by Maurie Reynolds, in 2014 FWGC participated in an intensive restoration: replacing the Arbors of the Rose Colonnade, relandscaping the Rose Slope and restoring the Oval Rose Garden and Gazebo. With private and corporate donations, the restoration and replanting were completed in 2017. A rededication was held October 15, 2017.
